Out today: Something Blue!

Jack’s back!!!

Yet again a standalone book has turned out to be part of a series…

In this case it’s A Jar of Thursday, which now has a follow up, Something Blue. And there will be a third book sometime next year – when I’ve worked out what colour the cover will be, ha.

So here’s a little about Something Blue:

  • It’s a novella, featuring many of the characters from the previous book, and it takes place about two years later.
  • You don’t have to have read A Jar of Thursday beforehand, as both are self-contained books.
  • If you fancy picking up a copy, do it soon, because the price will go up from 99c/99p to $2.99/£2.49 at the end of the week. The book will still be free to read for Kindle Unlimited subscribers, though. The paperback is my next job…

Here’s the blurb:

‘I should have been the happiest woman in the world…’SB ebook cover flat final

When Jacky Day accepts Tom Huggins’s proposal of marriage, there is just one problem. Abandoned as a baby and raised in the workhouse, she has no family to call her own. Now, with her wedding weeks away, she enlists the help of Sherlock Holmes to try and find them.

However, the great detective has his own worries. His old enemy, Professor Moriarty, grows ever more daring, and his attempts to kill Holmes more blatant. Add Holmes’s imminent departure for the Continent, and finding Jacky’s family becomes a race against time.

Jacky is ready to embrace her future — but to do so she must confront her fear of returning to the workhouse she grew up in, and face the truth of her buried past…

If you do pick up a copy, hope you enjoy it!
