I’ve blogged about the I Write Like website before (see here), but I couldn’t resist having another go! This time I’ve fed 4 flash-fiction stories from my forthcoming collection Bitesize into the I Write Like maw. I figured that as I’ve arranged the stories in 4 layers according to mood, it would be interesting to see what I Write Like made of it.
And the results are in!
- ‘Extra Veg’ is in the first layer, which I’ve designated Milk Chocolate Ripples. This layer is for stories which aren’t particularly funny or dark. And the result?
- OK… Moving on to layer 2, which is White Chocolate Creams; the light, funny layer. The story I picked is ‘Monologue’. Here goes:
- Well, I guess it’s about style rather than mood. Let’s see what happens in layer 3, which is Popping Candy Fancies, full of stories which have elements of magic or fairytale. I chose ‘The Real Tooth Truth’, and I Write Like said:
- Now, what will I Write Like make of a story from layer 4, Dark Chocolate Swirls? I put ‘Weeds’ into the box and clicked with bated breath…
